Fill in the simple enquiry form below and we will send you the full application pack.

Yes, it is a detailed set of forms, because we care about providing you with appropriate care services. You will need to ask your GP or physician to complete a comprehensive Medical Report and Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MOCA), and per Department of Social Development requirements, you will need to disclose all personal financial information, and your Financial Declaration & Consent will need to be certified by a Commissioner of Oaths.

We charge a R250 application fee because our Social Workers complete a detailed assessment with you and your family and walk a journey with you. An application proceeds once all forms are received (completed in full) and the fee has been paid.

Our Social Work team are dedicated to finding the right fit for you. Once all application forms and the fee are received, a social worker embarks on the journey with you, assessing suitability and linking you and your family with the administration team for financial arrangements. Once a room is allocated and all financial arrangements are in place, our Social Worker will set your admission date.

This is our agreement with you, should your admission be granted. You will find detailed information in this contract about every detail of your accommodation and the operations of Highlands House.

Depending on your needs and our availability, you may move into a single bedroom at Highlands House. Our Accommodation Guidelines details what we offer in terms of space and furnishings and helps you decide what to pack for admission.

We are fortunate at this time through Jewish community philanthropy to offer a subsidised rate to state pensioners and their families, pending full financial disclosure by the applicant, spouse, and all their children, and subject to Management Board approval. If you are seeking a subsidised admission, be sure to have your children complete a Family Financial Assessment each.
